Taking animals to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital

When taking animals to Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, please call ahead to let the vet nurses know to expect you ​(07 3395 5812). Access to the hospital is left on Fraser Rd, right across Bellbird Creek and the opposite side of the carpark. At night time it is dark and sometimes hard to locate. It is open 24/7.
​
Do not offer food or water unless advised to do so by a vet or rehabilitator.
​
Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling wildlife.
To assist for future release, note:
Exact location that you found the animal and date/time of collection.

Form to complete at AZWH
​
There will be NO CHARGE leaving animals at AZWH. You will be asked to complete a form.
Please note the "Accession Number" on the top right side of the page to make future enquiries for the animal.
​
A vet nurse will triage the animal and place it in a safe location within the hospital whilst it awaits veterinary assessment.
